Lena Zavaroni has turned eighteen after nine years in showbusiness and says fame has cost her the ordinary parts of growing up, such as living at home, going to discos and having boyfriends. She finds it hard to know who genuinely wants to know her. She now lives in her own London house with her parents and her fifteen‑year‑old sister Carla, a change from earlier years spent with chaperones.
