Lena Zavaroni appeared at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend as part of the variety show “Summer With The Stars.” Each evening featured two scheduled performances, at 6.15pm and 8.45pm. The venue, which opened in 1964, had a seating capacity of 1,100 at the time.

The Cliffs Pavilion opened in 1964 with 1,100 seats and was expanded to 1,600 in 1991 with the addition of a balcony. The evening before this photo was taken, the venue hosted a concert by the Sugababes.
