Summary

Scofield’s department prepared a new series of six half‑hour comedy programmes for spring 1985 titled And There’s More, featuring Irish comedian Jimmy Cricket. Each episode would include a regular group of performers: Adrian Walsh, Rory Bremner and Jessica Martin. Additional invited comedy guests were planned, including Billy Dainty, Russell Grant and Basil Brush. The series would also contain a regular musical segment, with guests already arranged such as Gemma Craven, Grace Kennedy, Wall Street Crash and Lena Zavaroni. The production team consisted of Tony Wolfe and Paul Burden, with Wolfe also directing and Trevor McCallum serving as script editor. Production was scheduled to begin in March, with all episodes recorded in front of an audience.
