Summary

The Midnight Spectacular a variety show produced by Barrie Stead, director of the Nottingham Royal Centre, in the Opera House, Blackpool the previous week, raised over £14,000 for the Entertainment Artists' Benevolent Fund.

Performers including Cannon and Ball, Leslie Crowther and Lena Zavaroni gave their services free.

The show went on around midnight on Wednesday and finished at 5am on Thursday.
