POLICE are investigating the death of Mrs Hilda Zavaroni, 47, mother of Scots singer Lena Zavaroni, whose body was discovered in a house at Bridge Street, Rothesay, yesterday.

A police spokesman said there were no apparent suspicious circumstances. A post-mortem examination will be held on Monday.
