The luxury of an eight piece orchestra! We rehearsed at Alford House- which had a large open fireplace at that time, and I remember chatting at lunchtimes with Lena Zavaroni who was rehearsing another panto there. This hugely talented young performer sadly died nine years later. A great loss to the profession.

Notes

The site has formatting issues and poor dating issues, so the year of the above quote is unclear on the site. Given it states 9 years before Lena passed, that would make the year 1990, and Lena would not have been in rehearsals for any panto that year, so the year is off, it may well be a simple memory issue, so I'm not out to make anything out of it just want to be clear to visitors not to blindly go with any dates on the site.

Also note the date used for my post is the date I accessed the site for the first time due to the dating issues I mentioned above.
